Cristian Anthis is a hearing instrument specialist at El Dorado Hearing. His journey with hearing aids is deeply personal, rooted in childhood experiences that shaped his perspective on sound and communication. Growing up, his closest friend relied on body aids, while another underwent a transformative experience with cochlear implants in 1970. Additionally, a second friend’s family faced the challenge of severe hearing loss, with all three siblings relying on BTEs.
Little did he know that these early encounters with hearing technology would pave the way for his future in the industry. Today, as his own hearing faces challenges and he contends with persistent tinnitus, he found himself in the role of a programmer who values the intersection of technology and human experience.
Despite his reluctance to wear hearing aids, he recognizes their transformative power. He often reminds others with hearing aids that they are, in a sense, “Bionic.” His focus on programming extends beyond the digital realm; he is passionate about enhancing the reality of everyday sounds. For Cristian, the essence lies in meaningful conversations amidst noise and the clarity of TV and music. He believes that when we prioritize these fundamental aspects, everything else falls into place, creating a richer and more connected auditory experience.
